SISTERLOCKS & MICROLOC(K)S LOCKING METHODS
The Sisterlocks Natural Lock Care System and Microloc(k)s are unlike any other natural lock system nor straight natural hair care regimens. These locking processes are even distinguished and disregarded in the sphere of cosmetology. It is a different journey alongside any hair care regimen you have known as a client and for me as your loc(k)s practitioner. These systems may cause professionals with other 20+ years of experience in cosmetology to render most understanding to the side. The Sisterlocks Natural Lock Care System and our Microloc(k)s requires adherence of the recommended loc care instructions provided by the LocHerRoom in order for us to continue to serve you and provide your loc(k)s the BEST results.
Your locks will tell the story of the care whether in compliance as it matures in years 1, 2, and so on. You are in our chair 10% compared to the 90% that your loc(k)s care regimen at home in your own space. What will your loc(k)s story depict? It will reveal your most top secrets in each loc(k). The below clauses explains the significance of your compliance as we cultivate your loc(k)s as a team. These policies exist to navigate balance, prevent scheduling conflicts and broaden expectations.
CONSULTATIONS: SISTERLOCKS & MICRO INTERLOC(K)S
*Consultations are required prior to any services performed. Even it you had a prior consultation with another. Each consultation fee of $35 per person is non-refundable/ non-transferrable to another potential, new or existing client.
If consultation is cancelled for any reason, consultation fee ($35) is forfeited and new consultation will be required at the regular consultation fee of $35.
Consultation fee ($35) does not apply to balance of new loc(k)s establishment services nor retightening services.
PRICES
Prices may change at any given time - always with proper notice. Typically at the beginning of each year or cycle anticipate changes. However, we would like for prices to remain the same but within the local market competitive rate. Quoted prices are not a one fit all. Based pricing or starting prices are available online however your comprehensive custom quote is provided during your consultation. Final quotes are SUBJECTIVE on a VALUE based system based by the individual client's hair condition, density, texture, head size and length. Quoted prices are independent of any other consultant, brand or Sisterlocks Home Office.

LOCS AESTHETIC GUARANTY
The LocHerRoom Studio, we, can not guarantee a certain outcome of your loc(k)s compared to any wish pics, loc crushes, or likenesses of any other person or type of loc(k)s. However, we don't mind customer bringing wish pictures of their loc crush; it gives the opportunity for us to provide feedback if it is possibe with your hair type or condition. We pledge to provide the best reasonable customer service and our best to adhere to the current knowledge of Sisterlocks® and Microloc(k)s care.

An establishment booking fee is required to book an establishment date for either Sisterlocks ® or Microloc(k)s .
No date are not booked until fee is satisfied.
This fee is a retainer and non-refundable should the client decide to cancel for any reason nor non-transferrable to another (potential, new, or existing) client. Neither transferrable to another schedule date over 90 days of initial or first consultation.

o Microloc(k)s Establishment Booking Fee - $150

Establishment quotes are good for 30 days. Dates are available according to availability first come-first deposit paid basis. If more than 60 day, your hair conditions will be assessed for any changes and growth. Any associated cost will reflect last quote. Remaining balance is due on the day of loc(k)s establishment prior to service being performed.

LOC(K)S SIZING
Sizing is specifically for LocHerRoom Studio Clients:
Sisterlocks ® standard sizes are small, medium and large (no micro sizes).
Locks count average 400. Less or more give and take. Some averaging less than 400 depending on density, length, curl pattern, head size and hair condition.
Microloc(k)s size - medium and large- typically average 300 locs give or take. If smaller size locks desired, consider Sisterlocks ®

PREPARATION FOR LOC(K)S ESTABLISHMENTS
All clients must wash their hair within 24 hours before "Establishment" service. The hair should be free of any conditioner, grease, etc. Please do not blow dry hair out to stretch. Come with hair in its natural state. Hair can be braided in a few (6) plaits for air dry and management. Otherwise, a fro or a single ponytail will work (air dried). Establishments are broken into 1-2 days or sometimes more depending on length and selected loc(k)s type [ Sisterlocks or Microloc(k)s ].
Each day is blocked for 12 hours with a one to two-hour break for lunch. However, the client will be repeatedly asked to stretch or take a break if needed. Clients are to provide their own meals. A Select few restaurants are in close proximity of the studio. Clients are also encouraged to bring books, phone or work remotely.

POST LOC(K)S ESTABLISHMENT FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENTS
Sisterlocks ® 2 to 3-weeks follow-up.
As a part of the Sisterlocks® package, all clients receive a 2-3 week follow-up after their establishment. If the client does not make this appointment within 2- 3 weeks, the follow-up appointment will be void. Nominal retightening rate will apply after missed appointment and any loc(k) repair will be at an additional cost per hour.
Microloc(k)s – 3 to 4-weeks follow-up virtually. 6-8 weeks retightening intervals required. Additional fee per week thereafter or if excessive cancellations or reschedule, you will be referred for another loctician to serve you on a continuous basis.
HOME CARE OF LOC(K)S | PRODUCT USAGE
The LOCHER ROOM STUDIO we recommend those with Sisterlocks® specially babyloc(k)s or locs that are not yet mature to adhere to using Sisterlocks Starter Shampoo® for the first 12 months after establishment for the BEST RESULTS or until hair matures showing no signs of slippage or distressed.
When Sisterlocks® products are unavailable, we will recommends other products.
Sisterlocks Starter Shampoo® does differ (texture/ less suds production) compared to traditional natural clarifying shampoos we would use in straight natural hair care. However, the Sisterlocks Starter Shampoo® purpose is to rough the cuticles leaving the hair free of oil resulting in a good locking producing agent. After hair is mature, other Sisterlocks® products can be introduced for continued care.
For the BEST RESULTS, use the Sisterlocks Starter Shampoo® for newly locked hair or Sisterlocks® Salon or Green Tea Shampoo® for mature locks. For mature locks, please refer to Sistrlocks website for additional hair care products. LocHerRoom Studio has Sisterlocks® products available as supplies last for your loc(k) journey needs for a reasonable price. Any other products use - USE AT YOUR OWN RISK and cost of repairs.
Microloc(k)s clients may use Sisterlocks® products for best results or the Almocado and Kia Kollections Kare products.

Styling Options- Do's and Don'ts:
-Refrain from use of oils, conditioners, pomades, and leave conditioner until hair matures and by the direction of a LocHerRoom Stafff only
-When showering, wear a shower cap
-Refrain from dyes until hair matures and by the direction of a LocHerRoom Stafff only
-Shampoo loc(k)s intervals 7-10 days
-Shampoo loc(k)s in one direction to reduce frizziness
-Braid, Tuck, and Band immature locks at every shampoo, intense physical activity, or swimming
-Separate loc(k)s at the scalp through the grid, one by one individually
-Sleep on a satin pillowcase or use a bonnet. For frizz, braid hair down
-Less heating (dryer) and more air dry of loc(k)s
-Enjoy styles but allow time for your loc(k)s to just hang to reduce stress
-Do not pull the balls forming at the end of your loc(k)s. Doing so, disturb the natural locking process.
-Refrain from steaming loc(k)s, this increases frizz.
-Keep your hands as much as possible out of your head. Stay away from covering hair with hats, scarves, wigs, loc(k) jewelry, beads, or per se "protective styles" particularly created for loose natural care until loc(k)s mature.
Any non- compliances of loc(k)s regimen or the above styling options "Do's or Dont's" of the client, may result of releasing as a client of LocHerRoom Studio. We will refer you to other lociticians in the local area that can service you as a client.

If you have any questions about your loc(k)s home regimen, contact locs practicitioner for direction. There is a lot of misinformation about your specific loc(k) care on social media sources such as YouTube, FB, Tick Tock, IG, and bloggers.
ONGOING RETIGHTENING APPOINTMENTS
Retightening services are required as a lifetime maintenance service of your Sisterlocks® or Microloc(k)s with the following intervals; often scheduled in advance (6 months ) prior to leaving establishment day or retightening session.
Weekends are reserved for loc(k)s establishment; weekdays for retightenings for hours are most M-F from 6pm starting appointments. Most Saturday and Sundays (for new establishment onlys) from 7am -7pm EST.
LOCHER ROOM CLIENTS RETIGHTENING SCHEDULE
Sisterlocks® – 4 to 6 weeks intervals (typically Monday-Friday from 6pm-10 pm)
Microloc(k)s - 6 to 8 weeks intervals (typicall y Monday-Friday from 6pm-10pm)
Weekends are reserved for commuting clients based on availability.
Retightening sessions times varies 1.5 up to 4 hours, give or take, depending on pre-retightening home care (loc separation),which loc(k)s system, type, and hair condition. Please be patient as we cultivate your loc(k)s' needs.
Any non- compliances of loc(k)s retightening intervals, may result of releasing as a client of LocHerRoom Studio. We will refer you to other locticians/ consultants in the local area that can service you as a client. All love (。♥‿♥。)
APPOINTMENT REMINDERS
LocHerRoom Studio utilizes Square Appointment app for all appointment reminders via text and email to clients. Confirming scheduled appointment reminders are required.
Confirmation requests - sent 5 days to scheduled appointment. Please CONFIRM upon request.
Email Reminder - sent 2 days prior to scheduled appointment.
Text Reminder - sent 12 hours prior to scheduled appointment.

LATE/ CANCELLATIONS/ RESCHEDULING
Please send ALL late notices, cancellations and rescheduling by text until online booking capability is operative. Please text to my personal cell at the earliest.
Client should notify us at least 3 days in advance for appointment cancellation without a penalty applied. Upon cancellation, client will be charged $50 for reschedule appointment or amount will be added to next scheduled appointment with payment due prior to rescheduled or already scheduled appointment. This fee is necessary to apply due to lost wages and scheduling opportunities for other clients.
Life happens and I try not to penalize on the front end. So please keep your scheduled appointments or reschedule at advance. It is difficult to reschedule appointments as clientele increases and the needs of all to fulfil.
LATE ARRIVALS
Late arrival (running late) to appointment should provide notice by text only (preferred). After 15 minutes LOCHER ROOM STUDIO charges $25 late fee on billed services for that day. After 30 minutes of non-arrival, appointment will be canceled. Appointment cancellations and reschedule policies will apply for future bookings or already booked appointments. Refer to “Appointment Cancellation” section above and “Reschedule” section below.
RESCHEDULE
Please send rescheduling by text only (preferred) until online booking capability is operative. Immediate payment prior to servicing next scheduled appointment or rescheduling. Upon non-payment of cancellation fee, the next service (retightening) appointment will be cancelled or up to dismissal as a client.
Any non- compliances of late, cancellation, and rescheduling from the client, may result of releasing as a client of LocHerRoom Studio. We will refer you to another Loctician in the local area that can service you as a client.

REPAIRS
Repairs and fixes are SEPARATE APPOINTMENTS from regular retightening services. Repair appointments are limited and may not be available immediately. To avoid unnecessary repairs that can be costly and time consuming for both her and you, please adhere to the care instructions provided by your loc practitioner.
Repairs includes fixing holes, bunching, and slippage. Repairs are scheduled in 3-4 hours increment per day at $75 per hour.
Any non- compliances of loc(k)s regimen that require continuous or ongoing repair work from the client's improper care of loc(k)s, may result of releasing as a client of LocHerRoom Studio. We will refer you to other locticians in the local area that can service you as a client. All love (。♥‿♥。)

TRANSFER CLIENTS
All new transfer clients shall sign the terms of this agreement before being serviced.
LOCHER ROOM STUDIO defines transfer clients as a customer that has not had their Sisterlocks® and Microloc(k)s or any other locking system established by LOCHER ROOM STUDIO or as a client that has not received retightening services from us within 3 months.
• A client seeking a regular consultant to maintain current loc(k)s care on a continual basis scheduled.
• A drop-in client who is in between consultants, undecisive, need of immediate care, or traveling.
• A visiting client who has been sent in recommendation by their regular consultant to temporarily service their client in their unavailability to schedule or service; client will remain a client of their regular consultant;
Additional Services:
Rates for transfer client retightening services are for new clients that are on schedule. Additional fees will be assessed for repair, reconstruction, slippage, over-growth due to deferred maintenance and any other circumstance that does not constitute a regular retightening service.
 No more than 2 cancellations a year.
 Schedule all upcoming appointments (up to 2-3 months).
 Maintain retightening schedule (frequency) .
 Follow recommended home care of your loc(k)s.

As client of LocHerRoom, you will get awesome compliments of your established loc(k)s. Please care for them as encouraged.
Rates are subject to change at any given time. For any inquiries, about establishment or retightening services directed them to the LocHerRoom website (www.LocHerRoomStudio.com) for current base rates. Rates are VALUED based and INDEPENDENT of what LocHerRoomStudio offers compared to other independent practitioners.
